Overhead Crane eVALUATOR
Overhead cranes are essential in any workplace where heavy loads need to be transported, but they can be extremely dangerous when operated improperly. The Overhead Crane certification course is designed to minimize workplace accidents by teaching operators how to safely operate a variety of overhead cranes. It covers general requirements, types of overhead cranes and equipment, preoperational inspections, capacity, material handling, hand signals, and parking.

Transportation of Dangerous Goods
This Transportation of Dangerous Goods certification course is designed for anyone who transports dangerous goods as part of their job. It covers the classifications of dangerous goods, documentation requirements, dangerous goods safety marks, means of containment, accidental or imminent release protocols, and emergency response assistance plans.

WHMIS 2015
This course introduces you to Canada’s Workplace Hazardous Materials Information System, or WHMIS. WHMIS was created in 1988 to help protect workers by educating them about the hazardous materials they may use in their workplace.
This program covers the WHMIS program from its beginning in 1988 to its most recent version – WHMIS 2015. WHMIS 2015 incorporates the United Nation’s Globally Harmonized System for the Classification and Labeling of Chemicals, or GHS.
In this course, you’ll learn about:
* Levels of workplace responsibility
* The transition from WHMIS 1988 to WHMIS 2015
* The labels and hazard symbols used to identify hazardous materials
* Material safety data sheets and safety data sheets
* How to recognize hazardous materials
* What to do in case of an accidental release of, or exposure to, hazardous materials

Lockout/Tag Out
This course teaches workers about the dangers of working with or around sources of hazardous energy and how to control that energy using a lockout/tag out program.

Ladder Safety
Ladders are an important and useful tool on many worksites. When used safely, they allow workers to reach work areas which would otherwise be inaccessible. Ladders can also be extremely dangerous when used in an unsafe manner, so proper training on ladder safety is important for any workers who may use them. This course is designed to keep workers safe by exploring topics such as ladder types and inspections, proper ladder set up, and safe use practices.

Fire Extinguisher Safety
This course covers training standards for fire extinguishers in the workplace and in public spaces, providing basic information about fighting fires with fire extinguishers. It covers topics such as types of fires, how and when to attempt to fight and properly extinguish a fire, as well as determining whether a fire is too large, which type of extinguisher to use, and the PASS method of extinguishing fires (the best practice for effectively using fire extinguishers).

Pedestrian Safety Awareness
This course teaches pedestrians how to stay safe in industrial environments. It discusses topics such as working around forklifts and other material handling equipment, avoiding pedestrian hazards like oil spills and floor debris, why it’s important to follow company policies and procedures, and how to use the Hierarchy of Controls to help reduce exposure to hazards.

Cannabis in the Workplace – For Employees
With recreational cannabis legalized in Canada, cannabis use in the workplace is in the spotlight like never before. This course teaches workers everything they need to know about cannabis in the workplace.

Cannabis in the Workplace – For Employers
With recreational cannabis legalized in Canada, cannabis use in the workplace is in the spotlight like never before. This course teaches employers about their rights and responsibilities concerning cannabis in the workplace, including what to do if cannabis use is suspected at work, how to recognize the signs of cannabis impairment, and how to accommodate therapeutic cannabis use.

Slips, Trips, and Falls
This course teaches workers how to avoid slips, trips, and falls in their workplace by describing the most common fall hazards and outlining how to avoid them.

Confined Spaces
Many jobs require workers to enter confined spaces such as tank cars, boilers, vats, chimneys, etc. These spaces pose unique hazards to workers, and it is important that workers and employers understand these hazards and how to reduce them. This course is designed to educate workers and employers about confined spaces, the legislation regarding workplaces with confined spaces, and how to work safely within them.

Asbestos Awareness
Asbestos is a common health hazard found in many buildings and workplaces, especially those constructed before 1990. This course is designed to educate workers about the dangers of working around asbestos and how they can keep themselves safe when exposed to asbestos.

Disability in the Workplace
This course covers aspects of disability in the workplace such as facts and myths surrounding employing workers with disabilities, workplace accommodation plans, and regulations like the Accessibility for Ontarians with Disabilities Act, 2005 (AODA) and the Integrated Accessibility Standards Regulation (IASR). It is designed for both employers and employees.

Supervisor Safety Awareness
This course is designed to educate supervisors about their responsibilities concerning workplace health and safety. It covers worker’s rights, identifying and controlling workplace hazards, and using RACE and the Hierarchy of Controls.

Violence in the Workplace
Workplace violence is an increasingly common problem in Canada, involving everything from threatening or intimidating behaviour to physical assault. This course covers aspects of violence in the workplace such as definitions of workplace violence, the legislation concerning workplace violence and harassment policies and programs, and workplace violence risk assessment, control methods, and reporting procedures.
